I’m long overdue for the next letter in the alphabet, but since I wanted to post some news about the Shadow Journey series (which I write as Jo Allen Ash), I figured I’d take advantage of the letter G. 🙂
Regarding the Shadow Journey series, I’ll start with news which may temporarily disappoint at least some of you. The release of book four, In Darkness We Break, has been delayed until September. Purposefully, and after much consideration. This decision was made because all four books will be re-released together on the same date in late September with new covers (by the artist who illustrated and designed Daughter of Lightning, To Kill a Witch, Conduits, Cardboard Castles and so many more fabulous covers) through Barnes and Noble Press, so the fourth book must be kept under wraps until that time. All the series’ books will continue to be available on their current platforms through the present distributor, but only the Barnes and Noble editions will have the updated covers and extra content. The extras include book discussion questions, illustrated maps, etc., with—most exciting, in my opinion—a bonus backstory in each about a secondary character, since so many of you have expressed interest in knowing more about them.
I hope you are as excited as I am about this news. For those of you who have already purchased your copies of the books in the series, don’t despair. The backstories will be coming out separately at a future date in a single volume, along with backstories about the main characters you know so well!
