Awwwww

You all know me by now. I’m not gaga over Halloween. It was fun when the kids were…well, kids, but then I fell out of the decorating aspect, eventually reaching the point where I totally forgot about Halloween unless a costumed child showed up at my door. Which, on occasion, they have. A pain, because they really don’t want a QUARTER. They want CANDY, which is in short supply in my house, especially the miniature-sized, safely wrapped-up variety. Can’t blame the kids for their preference. What does a quarter get you nowadays? (In my youth, a quarter got you a whole bag of penny candy. But I don’t mean to age myself or go on about the past. Who wants to hear that, right?)

Anyhoo, to get back on topic, I happened to spot this video on YouTube and almost decided then and there that maybe I should fall in love with Halloween, if only for decorations like these little black kitties in their pumpkins. I am going to have to make them, even if I do end up forgetting to put them out by next year. They are just SOOOO ding-dang adorable!

Oh, for crying out loud! I’ve gone down the rabbit hole. Here’s another one, too, as long as we’re at it.
